Exxelia has 4 ESA qualified series :  SESI , MSCI,  CMC and CCM.
Custom inductors are designed using qualified building blocks and long Exxelia heritage.



Exxelia has the expertise for designing specific PFC (Power Factor Correction) choke/inductor taking up the challenge of reconstructing signals at both low (often sinusoidal) and high (for switching) frequencies. The model used enables to assess saturation levels and copper and iron losses, taking eddy currents into account, with good accuracy at both frequencies.



Exxelia has strong knowledge in interphase inductor design.

What is an inductor ? For what application ?

An Inductor is nothing else but a wound coil, which smoothes the current flow or stores the electrical energy.

Benefits of Low Resistance and Low Self Inductance

Two major benefits of film capacitors comes from the fact that they have low equivalent series resistance and low self inductance. Due to these properties, they can be designed to withstand voltages in the kilovolts. What inductors and chokes does Exxelia SVM design?

Exxelia SVM designs inductors and chokes to block high-frequency ripple currents. Examples include filter inductors (5 mH, 15 A rms at 40 kHz; 10 mH, 10 A; dimensions specified). They also provide LCL filter inductors using rectangular Litz wire rated for high current (e.g., 100 µH, 360 A continuous, 510 A peak, 50 Hz–3.5 kHz).

What customization options does Exxelia SVM provide?

Exxelia SVM develops fully custom magnetics, offering in-house tooling, MATLAB/FEMM modelling, special core designs, Litz wire constructions up to 350 A, and complete solutions from prototype to packaging.
